DeAna Durbin Registered Homebirth Midwife

Midwifery has been an important part of my life since 1991. I am honored and excited to be involved in such a transformational time of family life. Both of my children were born at home and are an integral part of my practice. Their innocent wisdom has been teaching important life lessons to me as well as my clients.

I'm a Native of Colorado and most of my family still live in this area. I believe that it takes a village to raise a child. I incorporate this belief into every aspect of my life including my midwifery practice. I also teach Pilates classes out of my home which teaches essential postural information for pregnancy and postpartum. These classes are for everyBODY and help in building community.

Being from a family of ten children, birth has been an integral part of my life. I respect the effect that pregnancy and birth has on the whole family and schedule prenatals to include partners and siblings. Prenatals are scheduled for an hour to an hour and a half so there is ample time to get to know and trust each other. Initial interviews are free of charge so we get a chance to meet and to see if we are a good match.

I am honored to be a part of this life changing event and rite of passage in a woman's life. My practice is individually tailored to meet the needs of each family. It includes nutritional counseling, the use of herbs, homeopathy, the age old wisdom of midwives from all over the world and mostly the hands-off approach to letting MOTHER nature take her course. I support women in VBAC's (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean). Please call if have any questions and to set up an interview,720-320-5270.
