Thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself and to explain a bit about the services I provide.
My name is Karen Bell, and I am an IBCLC. As a Lactation Consultant I have helped improve breastfeeding rates in
Seminole County for years now. I got my start at Seminole County WIC
Dept. as a breastfeeding peer counselor. I was on staff as one of the
lead breastfeeding peer counselors when when our department was rated
number 2 in the Initiation of Breastfeeding in the State of Florida.
Since then I have trained and supported both educators, nurses and
parents. I began private practice in 2008 and in 2009 found a home with
Heart 2 Heart Birth Center. I am proud to be a part of the Heart 2 Heart
Birth Center family!
My philosophy is that breastfed babies are well adjusted and whole! They
are bonded with their parents! The journey to reaching your
breastfeeding goal should always begin with breastfeeding education.
